This colourful action photograph captures Carson in the saddle wearing the famous blue and white racing silks, and has been personally hand signed by Willie Carson in a large black marker across the top of the image.
One of the outstanding jockeys of his generation, Carson enjoyed a remarkable career spanning more than three decades. He was crowned British Champion Jockey five times and rode more than 3,800 winners.
His extraordinary record includes victory in many of racing's greatest contests, including four Epsom Derbies, as well as multiple victories in the 2,000 Guineas, 1,000 Guineas and Oaks. His combination of talent, determination and longevity established him as one of the most recognisable figures in British racing.
Carson was awarded the OBE for services to horse racing and later became equally familiar to television audiences through his work as a racing broadcaster.
