This fantastic photograph captures Sculthorpe celebrating with the Challenge Cup following St Helens’ 32–16 victory over Wigan Warriors in the 2004 Powergen Challenge Cup Final at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium.
Sculthorpe captained Saints on the day and capped a memorable performance by scoring a try in the final, making this an especially significant image from his outstanding career.
One of the finest British rugby league players of his generation, Sculthorpe enjoyed a trophy-laden career with St Helens and became particularly renowned for winning the Man of Steel award in consecutive seasons.
