A superb and genuinely scarce piece of Manchester City memorabilia: a match-issue UEFA Champions League shirt prepared for Brazilian midfielder Fernando during the 2015/16 season and personally signed by him.
The striking fluorescent Nike shirt features FERNANDO.R 6 to the reverse, together with the UEFA Champions League starball and Respect sleeve patches. Fernando was officially City's No.6 during the 2015/16 campaign.
The season was particularly significant in City's European history. Under Manuel Pellegrini, the club reached the Champions League semi-finals for the first time, eventually being eliminated by Real Madrid.
Fernando featured prominently during that European run. He started both legs of City's last-16 victory over Dynamo Kyiv, including the 3–1 away victory in Kyiv and the return leg in Manchester that secured City's first-ever place in the Champions League quarter-finals.
Unlike a standard supporter replica, this example is match issue, giving it considerably greater significance to collectors. The shirt is further enhanced by Fernando's autograph alongside his No.6 on the reverse.
