This superb action photograph captures Higgins at the table and has been personally hand signed by Alex Higgins in black marker, together with the inscription “Best Wishes”.
Known as “The Hurricane” for his rapid, attacking style of play, Higgins was instrumental in transforming snooker into one of Britain's most popular televised sports during the 1970s and 1980s.
The Northern Irishman became World Snooker Champion twice, first winning the title in 1972 before famously becoming World Champion again in 1982. His unpredictable personality, natural ability and extraordinary shot-making made him one of snooker's first true sporting superstars.
Higgins died in 2010, meaning the supply of genuinely signed memorabilia is naturally finite and making authentic examples increasingly collectable.
